Circa 1990's Pendant with chain by Zuni couple Nancy and Ruddell Laconsello. Married couple, Nancy and Ruddell Laconsello of Zuni, have worked together since they married in 1976, and are known for their exquisite inlay pieces, featuring especially finely etched and inlaid birds. Ruddell does the silverwork and Nancy does the inlay. Nancy is the daughter of the late Jake Haloo and her sister is Dolly Banteah. She is also related to Dennis Edaakie. Renowned and collected world-wide, they are also featured in Who's Who in Zuni Jewelry, by Gordon Levy. This sterling silver inlaid pendant in the shape of a pot, features a cardinal and flowers, inlaid with coral and mother of pearl and malachite. This significant necklace begins with handmade links creating a braided chain. The chain measures approximately 25 1/2" from handmade hook to eye. The pendant features a Natural Red Mountain Turquoise stone on one side with the "Ghost Spirit" on the reverse (a special enamel a process of photoluminescence Alvarez does himself) that glows in the dark. So different and wonderful. The pendant measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/2" at widest tapering to 3/8".

Award-winning Charlene Sanchez Reano of San Felipe Pueblo created this Reversible Mosaic Inlay Necklace, a stunning example of her hallmark style. Twenty-six individual tabs are inlaid on each side. One side is the turquoise sky seemingly at sunset with bits of the sun peeking through as the night descends--with inlays of spiney oyster, lapis, melon shell, and mother of pearl. The other side is a gorgeous array predominantly orange with the traditional and largely ceremonial inlay of turquoise and jet with mother of pearl. Hundreds of stones, handcut and inlaid in a mosaic design both assymetrical and yet in perfect harmony. Charlene is the best. Winning ribbons after ribbons at all the important shows, her pieces are in museums and collected worldwide. The necklace measures approximately 16 1/2"" inside circumference, and the individual tabs taper from 1" to 1 7/8". Truly stunning and one of a kind.
