Award-winning Navajo artist Alvin Yellowhorse created this mosaic inlaid bear pendant. The inlay of turquoise, spiny oyster, sugulite and mother of pearl on jet creates a scene of Navajo stargazing. The tradition of stargazing reaches back to the heart of Navajoland, into the caves of Canyon de Chelly, where Navajo stargazers reached to the stars for guidance. Unknown Santo Domingo Pueblo artist created this circa 1980's 10-strand multi-color heishi jocla necklace. The necklace is 26 1/2" in length (including the 4 1/2" chain), and features melon shell, jet, red coral and stabilized turquoise heishi. The "jocla" hangs down 3 1/2", including the 1/2" depth of the disc. The disc is actually three discs: two of jet, one of turquoise, one of melon shell.

Award-winning Navajo artist Alvin Yellowhorse created this inlaid bracelet (circa 1990's). A gorgeous, signature Yellowhorse piece depicting a cosmic night sky over a pueblo, with inlay stretching from end to end in jet, Pacific coral, lapis, opal, turquoise, sugulite, and artist choices in stones. This was first tufa cast, then shaped asymmetrically, then inlaid. The bracelet measures 1" across at the widest and tapers to 1/2", and will fit a 6 5/8" wrist including an opening of 1 1/8". Stamped Alvin Yellowhorse (in script) with a horse.

Award-winning Charlene Sanchez Reano of San Felipe Pueblo created this Reversible Mosaic Inlay Necklace, a stunning example of her hallmark style. Twenty-six individual tabs are inlaid on each side. One side is the turquoise sky seemingly at sunset with bits of the sun peeking through as the night descends--with inlays of spiney oyster, lapis, melon shell, and mother of pearl. The other side is a gorgeous array predominantly orange with the traditional and largely ceremonial inlay of turquoise and jet with mother of pearl. Hundreds of stones, handcut and inlaid in a mosaic design both assymetrical and yet in perfect harmony. Charlene is the best. Winning ribbons after ribbons at all the important shows, her pieces are in museums and collected worldwide. The necklace measures approximately 16 1/2"" inside circumference, and the individual tabs taper from 1" to 1 7/8". Truly stunning and one of a kind.
